Pawn Stars resumes filming

Pawn Stars, the History Channel's biggest reality show, is back in production. The pawn show has been on the air since 2009 and broadcasts weekly on Mondays at 10 p.m. Eastern Standard Time. You can also catch the previous shows in earlier time slots throughout the week.

Pawn Stars began filming new episodes on July 6th, 2020, featuring the same main characters Rick Harrison (known as the Old Man), Corey Harrison (Rick's son, who often goes by the nickname Big Hoss) and Austin"Chumlee" Russell. The three stars are making Season 17, which entails 25 brand new episodes. Currently, Season 16 is airing every Monday night on the History channel. In a recent interview on PodKats!, Rick Harrison said that History requested them to start producing new episodes since"they are running low on content."

The filming will take place at the usual location, Gold & Silver Pawnshop here in Las Vegas. Unfortunately, we expect to see very few customers bring their items into the store to sell for cash. This is mainly due to the health threat posed by the coronavirus pandemic. Rick Harrison, the Gold & Silver pawn shop owner, says they are experiencing a low traffic foot, just 10% of the usual business.

However, Pawn Stars is still a hit. For more than a decade, the show has had higher ratings than other reality TV shows. If you and your family are looking for a great television program to watch together, Pawn Stars is something that the whole family will enjoy. It's educational. You will learn so much about art, music, history, and more since the items that come into the shop are varied. They range from sports memorabilia to coins to war artifacts and more. Another learning opportunity offered by the show is seeing the owner of the piece negotiate an acceptable price. Pawn Stars is entertaining as well as intriguing.
